No One Knows My Plan

I created this piece as a demo for my Senior Seminar professor to help her (and, I suppose, me as well) visualize my project proposal for the semester. I had been experimenting a lot in my Drawing 2 class, including messing around with cutting paper and using acetate and layers, and came up with the idea of combining them to create complex pieces memorializing each of my years in college (more on that later). This piece is small - about the size of a postcard - and features the main antagonist from my Fingertips series since I had already drawn him and thought he would make a dynamic subject. The words are the lyrics of the song that mostly inspired his motivational arc (though not his design) - No One Knows My Plan by They Might Be Giants - or at least as many of them as fit on the sheet. I also added several different leaves to the designs cut around him, and the warm color field represents both the colors of Autumn and of fire.
