2025: A Year in Art

This year was far more remarkable for a lot of things that had little or nothing to do with art, but I did still manage several significant endeavors. My biggest project of the year had to have been the painting I made for Hannah's wedding of hearts of the Holy Family, the two other larger projects I have been working on myself have been progressing incredibly slowly due to the time constraints of being back in school. Nevertheless, I had a few months of increased free time left at the beginning of the year during which I made some headway in character studies - playing around with drawing in different styles or in response to different prompts - and tried a few new methods with my foe-stained glass saint portraits - including playing around with my new drawing tablet. I also got to work as a graphic designer on two different projects recently - the smaller of which was designing a booklet for my school's Lessons and Carols event, but I was completely in charge of re-designing the website for the St. Louis Catholic Art Festival, as well as designing several fliers and other promotional materials for them. All in all, despite what feels like a relative scarcity of variety to display here, I think it was a decently full year for me as an artist.
