This was a spontaneous sculpture, because what's a better idea than paper mâché when you're overwhelmed with homework? It's supposed to be an ant emerging from the canvas board, though I've received a couple other interpretations.
I covered the paper mache with watered down tempera paint which I blew through a straw, which was quite an interesting experience - probably not the most efficient method and I ended up getting paint in my mouth several times, but it was an adventure. I have also included a couple pictures one of my family members took of me doing it.
