Look Closer

This piece was created for an assignment in conflicting textures. The short version is that it's a plush toy that emptied out and I lined with pins, which was a unique and meticulous process. The effect is really cool, particularly in person, because the pins only catch the light when perpendicular to the viewer. Areas with long fur have the points of the pins protruding, whereas areas with short fur (the nose, feet, and insides of the ears) just have the dots of the pin heads visible.
