I made this sketch in class a couple days ago because I needed to do something with my hands to allow my brain to focus. Usually, my doodles are either just patterns in the corner or random things in the margins, but this one really took on a life of its own and I’m actually really happy with how it turned out. I haven’t done an original chimera for a while now – let alone posted anything – so I’m sharing this one. Jury’s still out on how “original” it is (I recently pulled together the chimeras I could find onto one page on my website and there are a LOT of repeated features and other patterns), but it served its purpose in the moment and gave me something I’m excited enough about to share so I think it was a success overall.
